Theatre

The Rockford Woman’s Club is home to The Rockford Theatre, a small 800-seat theatre with main floor, lower and upper balcony seating. It offers its own entrance, box office and lobby facilities and is fully equipped with house lights, strip lights, a Steinway piano and a professional sound system. Acoustically, the theatre is superb and provides an excellent location for piano concerts and acoustic guitar as well as many other types of shows.

The history of the Rockford Theatre includes such notables as Ethel Barrymore, Will Durant, Ogden Nash, Hal Holbrook, Amelia Earhart, Dr. Joyce Brothers and Martha Stewart. More current usage includes Rodney Carrington, The Pink Floyd Laser Show, Leo Kotke and Leon Redbone, live theatre, lectures, as well as beauty pageants, dance recitals and classical musicians.

For special events, the theatre lobby can be expanded to accommodate larger receptions and rental of the theatre can easily be expanded to include the onsite banquet facilities. The facilities can be used for dinners, receptions, fundraisers, artist events as well as other types of functions.
